Cherry Blossom Medallion in Green!

My back and leg are responding to a spinal injection I had last Friday so I was able to play all day long!  I decided to use LeighSBDesigns’ Cherry Blossom Medallion SVG in glorious green the theme for Challenge #3 at LeighSBDesigns!

I only used three of the Cherry Blossom Medallion layers coz my Cricut was acting up and not wanting to cut my final layer.  I used a layer of foam between the back layer and the middle layer and to mount the sentiment from the Paddy Balleigh Monster Set.  I inked all the elements with lucky clover Distress Ink.  My last one today going to LeighSBDesigns Challenge #3 Glorious Green!   All the details and linky party are HERE and you have one more day to play!

Crafty Goodies from Lawn Fawn!

I participated in one of Leigh's fabulous blog hops and won!  My prize was a 25 dollar gift card at Lawn Fawn!  I made a list of things I needed, things I wanted and something so cute I had to have it!  The blending sponges and handle (got two lost two so needed one!) were definitely needed!  The embellishment wand/tool by Studio Katia (not pictured just realized!) was something I have wanted for ages and kept forgetting to order or pick up!  This darling little iguana is just sooo adorable I had to have him plus I got the free special delivery stamp that Lawn Fawn gave me!  The packaging was totally cute with some papers and it was just really neat!

I play at Leigh's blog hops and challenges because I love Leigh and Val!  The top reason plain and simple!  That I can play with images I love and people I love and win goodies and discounts to Leigh's boutique is just icing on the cake!  Challenge #3 is going on right now at LeighSBDesigns and the theme is  Glorious Green and it ends March 25th!

Kiss Me Glorious Green Challenge #3 with LeighSBDesigns!

This jaunty kitty is a freebie by Ike's Art!  Isn't he just full of himself?😹

I used an easel card pattern from the Butterfly Challenge Blog.  I used lots of greens in cardstock and designer paper for the bones of the card and inked with mowed lawn Distress Ink.  I used Ike's St. Cat-rick's Day image which is a freebie on the SUYP Cat Lovers' Challenge!😻  I used the sentiment included with the image (it also has two others) and cut into a flag and added one of the clover from the clover cluster included in LeighSBDesigns' Paddy Balleigh Monster Set.  I added the cutesy face in Procreate.  I used Copics, Crayola green glitter paint and gold acrylic paint for all the details.  I am entering this at Ike's SUYP Cat Lovers' Challenge for March and

Paddy Balleigh Monster Tent Card!

I am super excited today!  My Paddy Balleigh Monster tent card is over on the LeighSBDesigns Inspiration Blog!  😀  This total cutie pie image Paddy Balleigh Monster Set and the Clover Arch St. Patrick's Day Set are so much fun!

I used an altered tent card tutorial from Iced Images on Youtube for this happy bunch!  I used green cardstocks and some confetti designer paper for the bones of the card.  I had to make my clover arch fit the small card so I did that in Procreate then printed.  The two clover lovelies on the front came from the cluster of clovers included with Paddy as well as the sentiment.  I added some Kawaii faces to the two clovers in Procreate, printed, colored with Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut adding to the front with foam dots along with Paddy and the sentiment.  Everything was colored with the colored pencils and I added some gold and white acrylic paint for some fun accents on the beer and the hat buckle.  He is entering the LeighSBDesigns Challenge #3 Glorious Green!  All the details and linky party are HERE!

Glorious Little Green Man!

The theme for Challenge #3 at LeighSBDesigns Inspiration Blog is Glorious Green!  My first two thoughts were Paddy Balleigh Monster and the UFO and Alien images by LeighSBDesigns would be fun to play with and they were!  Today the stop over has begun but have no fear this little guy is just looking for directions to Margaritaville in Biloxi!  He over shot it a tiny bit cause it looks like he might be in the desert!  Area 51 might have been programmed in the old navigation device! 👽

The Art Sherpa did an amazing tutorial on the Unexpected Vacation with a huge blue UFO and a human that was trapped in its beams!  I followed her instructions for the background and traced Leigh's UFO on it and painted it with acrylic paints, too.  I colored the party guy Alien with Copics in green, of course, and due to some miscalculations in size I had to take a few bits off his legs and reattach at his knees!  OUCH!  For fun I added some green GITD paint on the spaceship for lights and on the X's which are windows on this ship!  I didn't even try to get a picture cos it never works for me 😔  If you are into Area 51 and The X Files, LeighSBDesigns has some totally awesome images and Red Tape Snippets (words) pertaining to all things ufology! Now it's time for this guy to fly to the coast for some rest and relaxation but first he is swinging by LeighSBDesigns Challenge #3 Glorious Green for a brief stop!

The Outlawz Sunday Songs and Rhymes Challenge with Oddball Art!

We have the pleasure to work with some awesome images by Oddball Art for this challenge!  I played with a journal page and some Distress Oxide sprays.  I colored the image with Copics and the background stars and bubbles with Prisma colored pencils.  I used the Big Eye Creepy Cute Fairy Girl Starlina, senti from Whimsical Dream Sally's Stars and Hand Drawn Stars and Bubbles!

I printed the sentiment on colored paper and added some white pen dots and colored the stars with colored pencils.  I semi fussy cut the little character out and fussy cut the other elements.  Nothing left to do but glue down and outline with a black Pitt brush pen!  Now it's your turn to create some fun and join us at The Outlawz Sunday Songs and Rhymes Challenge!

Sunday Songs & Rhymes Challenge at the Outlawz!

Our fun and blast from the past song for our inspiration this time is “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!” Our sponsor is Mirtillamente!  I used the fantastically fun image “Paperelle” by Le Gine!

I made a tent card variation card using the directions from Iced Images on YouTube.  The image elements were colored with Prisma colored pencils and fussy cut out before being popped on the front and back page of the tent card.  I used a sentiment strip from the paper pack “Key West.”  I hope you will come play with us at The Outlawz Sunday Songs and Rhymes Challenge!  We look forward to visiting your blogs and commenting on your fabulous projects!

March Ike’s World Challenges #154

March is here but what happened to December???  Onwards and upwards we go anyway with Ike’s World Challenges #154 Anything Goes with an Option of Tic-Tac-Toe!

I was really going to follow the tic-tac-toe board until I rediscovered the ultra wonderful Tortoise image by our fabulous Ike’s Art!  I so admire those who can color animals realistically with markers or pencils but sadly I am not one of them!  But my mind was a blur with the idea of using acrylics to paint this guy and I did!  I just printed him on plain cardstock because my printer refused to print on anything else!  This presented some problems with buckling after the acrylics and then watercolors were added for the background.  I did give the back of the paper a good ironing to reduce some of the buckles.  Google has so many different images of all the different kinds of tortoises and I kinda picked colors and patterns from a bunch of photos with the addition of the colors the tortoises around here have.  They are called gopher turtles down here.  I added a watercolor background with my version of a bush/tree so he would have a ready food source.

I added some line work with thin line markers.  The papers were from a pack I grabbed when Michael’s had a good sale.  I hope you will come play along with us at Ike’s World Challenges this month!  All the details and linky party are HERE!
