April 4th Creative Inspiration Challenges with Kate Hadfield Designs!

Our spectacular sponsor this month is Kate Hadfield Designs!  If you haven't signed up for her VIP Doodle Den you are missing out on so much fun and a ton of Freebies!  You also get her email each month that inspires me every time I read them!

I am usually only a digital scrapbooker but this month's selection "Signs of Spring Bundle" that we were allowed to play with made me want to color, cut out and glue!  No better therapy in the world for me!  I also used some of Kate's freebies on my page:  Bits and Pieces 3 and Spring Papers both can be found in the Doodle Den!  I had this photo of Noah taking a picture at a state park where we took a great hike with Noel.  She wasn't in this photo with this amazing tree but I added her in the corner holding a flower I added!  I layered all the images from the bundle that I was using on a separate layer than my photo and printed both out.  I colored up all the elements and layered them on the photo which I printed on glossy photo paper.  I feel like we had stepped into a Roger Rabbit world while working on this!  A real Toon Town spring photo of my kids!  I printed the Bits and Pieces elements out on cardstock and then cut out the bits I needed for my scrapbook page!  I had so much fun working on this and plan on doing many more in the future!  I hope you will visit Kate Hadfield Designs and see for yourself all the fun to be had!   We hope to see you at Creative Inspiration Challenges Blog in April!

April 1st The Outlawz Progressive/Freebie Challenge

A big thanks to our Outlawz member Sandra for the gorgeous tulip image for this month! Spring has popped out everywhere here in the South!  The greens are absolutely neon at this point!  Here is my digital make with our freebie image!

I used the Procreate app to make my digital card.  I loved playing with the bokeh effect and being able to create the brilliant light behind the tulip.  The sentiment comes from my heart to your!   I hope you all have a blessed Easter today!   We look forward to seeing your awesome creations with the pretty image!  Drop off your entries at The Outlawz Progressive/Freebie Challenge!

March 31st The Outlawz Sunday Song and Rhyme Challenge

Our inspiration poem this time is:

I wanted to celebrate God’s gift and the resurrection of Jesus with my card!  This little image by Dearie Dolls that I stumbled across a few weeks ago made me smile!  Such celebration going on in this little scene!  Thanks so much for the image, Dearie Dolls!  I colored it up with Copics using every bright and happy color I had!

Please remember to tell us what inspired you when you link your entry!  We love to know how we each are inspired at The Outlawz Sunday Song And Rhyme Challenge!

Creative Inspiration Challenges for March with Pattie’s Creations 🌷

Goodness golly gee Spring is almost here in the South!  We are still yet to have our “Easter Snap” which will surely bring some much colder weather but we will be heating up fast after that!  This month at Creative Inspiration Challenges we have the pleasure of working with Pattie’s Creations!  A big thank you to Pattie’s Creations for sponsoring us!

This delightful image is Daffodils Circle Scrolls!  I made a rocker card base and used the Honeycomb Delight Mini Stencil by Stamplorations with Distress Inks.  I colored the image in Procreate and printed out with the sky blue background.  Next I used colored pencils and gel pens to make the colors pop.  I also went around the scrolls with the gold gel pen making faux stitching lines to bring them further to the front of my card.  The Bible verse is from Fred She Said Designs “Uplifting Sentiments” and inked with a variety of Distress Ink blues then popped up on foam squares.  I also used foam squares to adhere the yellow background circle (inked with Distress Ink) after gluing the daffodil image down.  We hope you will join us at Creative Inspiration Challenges for March and show us your crafty goodies!

Monday Greetings with Mirtillamente!

One of the most awesome things to come from my working with sponsors for the Outlawz Monday Greetings is getting to know wonderful designers like Eve at Mirtillamente Craft Shop!  She is such a delight to work with and such a fabulous supporter of our challenge every year!  We are thrilled to have to be showcasing her gorgeous designs three times this year as she sponsors us!  So a big thank you and lots of hugs to her from the whole team at Monday Greetings! 💕  ❤️ 💖

We all worked on the ultra fantastic image Halfmoon Infinity (some worked with the b/w image and some with the pre colored version….one of those being me 😁) and some equally fantastic sentiments from the Wordz: About Love No. 1!

I am so into wall art right now as I start once again to make my craft room into my dream craft room!   So my mind immediately goes in the direction of  “wouldn’t that make a great decoration for the craft room!”    This image with it’s beautiful colors and the sentiment I choose fell right in line with a wall hanging that would light up my area!   It involved printing at almost a full page and the sentiment also quite large.  Then layering on some bright colors before attaching the sentie to the moon with some ribbon and adding the ribbon for hanging!  This sentiment is one I have used with my children since they were tiny babies right up till now as adults!  It makes me happy every time I see it!  I hope to see you at The Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge for March with the lovely things you make to fit our required greeting which is……ANYTHING GOES!  You can add the optional twist of add something green if you want to be entered into our challenge twice!

The Outlawz Sunday Song and Rhyme Challenge!

The poem to grab our inspiration from for March is To March by Emily Dickinson!  I chose March and purple to inspire my planner page.

This gorgeous calendar is a freebie at Kate Hadfield Designs!  I colored mine up in Procreate using three different shades of purple that complements the bright yellow daffodils!  This will go in my design team journal notebook as a bright and much needed extra reminder of when things are due!  Remember to tell us what inspired you from the poem when you enter at The Outlawz Sunday Song and Rhyme Challenge for March!

The Outlawz Anything Goes in a Card Free Zone for March!

We have a fun Bingo card to use as our optional theme but you can always go Anything Goes just no cards 😉.  I went with the middle row across:  Blue, Music, FREE, Metal, Paint!

This was a freebie at Dreaming Tree SVG!  An adorable, vintage record treat box named Tuneful Treat Box!   Here is a side view!

I used the metal clip to close it up, used a paint pen to write the “label” of my record, blue on the flower and the ribbon.  With that I had ticked off all of the items on my bingo sheet!   Now it’s your turn to either play the bingo card or go Anything Goes at The Outlawz Anything Goes in a Card Free Zone!

The Outlawz Progressive/Freebie Challenge for March!

A big thank you to another of our Outlawz DT for this super cute little Viking couple to create with this month!

I colored each of them in Procreate and added my sentiment before printing out on some patterned paper with a map design.  I wrapped some lavender ribbon around a piece of kraft cardstock then layered the lovely pair on top!   We look forward to seeing what you create with these images using both or either of them at The Outlawz Progressive/Freebie Challenge for March!

Day 4 Gothic Valentine Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns ❤️‍🔥

The 7th Annual Gothic Blog Hop presented by LeighSBDesigns is happening now and all the details and linky party can be found here!  While trying to clean out multiple craft areas I found this little skeleton guy who was just too cute!  So I had to make him a nice place to hang out on to celebrate the blog hop!

I used the wreath elements from the Spring Wildflowers Make a Wreath SVG Cutz Mega Kit and inked the edges with seedless preserves.  Next I did a print and cut of a black and red doily from Pixabay and layered the bottom layer of the wreath adding foam dots to pop the twig layer on top.  I gathered a bit of gold metallic fabric and glued to the back of the doily.  I added bits of foliage cut out of black from the kit and glued behind the red ribbon I added.  This mega kit contains so many awesome flowers and a wonderful box plus a bunny wreath!  I kept this kind of low key for the gothic feel!   Not finding my glue gun 😞 I attached the Skelly on some of the same ribbon.  This FaBOOlous fellow is smiling and so happy to be in the blog hop!  Happy hopping ❤️‍🔥

Day 3 Gothic Valentine Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns!

Day 3 of the Gothic Valentine Blog Hop presented by LeighSBDesigns has arrived! I am definitely at that age where I enjoy so many things from my youth so fondly!  The Addams Family show was always a favorite of mine when black and white television was a normal thing!  So take it away Gomez and Morticia! 💘

This marvelous quote is on a digital paper from the Grunge Hearts Decorative Digi Paper Pack from LeighSBDesigns printed out on glossy photo paper.  Too shiny for good photos but oh so pretty 🤩
Then I framed it with the awesome Once Upon a Starry Night SVG Cutz (I couldn’t find either of these designs in the new store but Leigh or Val can let us know in the comments 💕) design also by LeighSBDesigns! After layering them up I attached some blue lights with a battery pack.  You can faintly see them with the light box light on.

Hard to tell but this is with the photo box light off!  The stars that have the lights directly behind them are glowing so gorgeously!  So lots of shine from the glossy photo paper and the blue twinkle lights!  Blue wasn’t my first choice but it seems they were my only choice so I embraced them!  All the details and linky party can be found HERE 🎆

Day 1 of the Gothic Valentine Blog Hop w/LeighSBDesigns

The 7th annual Gothic Valentine Blog Hop presented by LeighSBDesigns starts today!  Check out the details and linky party can be found HERE!

My thoughts always go to Edgar Allan Poe when I think of gothic romance because poor Poe had such a rocky path to love.  He also wrote such deep feelings into his poetry (yep, I caught the pun as I was typing it 😉) and well, just totally gothic I guess!  This line from his POEm (did it unintentionally to start with but couldn’t resist it when I realized it again!) Annabel Lee always gets me so of course I had to use it.  The gorgeous background image is by RedHeadsRule on Pixabay.  I added the text and the Poe digi stamp (Edgar Allan Poe Portrait and Signature) by our darling hostess Leigh at LeighSBDesigns!  Really simple but perfect a perfect addition to my Poe card box!

Monday Greetings February 5th!

Today starts a brand new challenge at Monday Greetings at The Outlawz Challenges!  Our required greeting is Anything Goes (easey peasey, right?) with an optional twist to add a heart!

This little PURRfect kitty is one of the Loveleigh Kitties Collection by LeighSBDesigns!  We have had a new kitty or two! each month of 2024 with lots more promised to come!  Also a fabulous Santa Puss this past December!  This beauty is Love Hearts Kitty and I colored her up in Procreate and made my marble paper in Procreate, also!  Fussy cut and made for a mini slimline card adjusted up an inch to make the dimensions 3 1/2 by 7 inches!  It is delicate just like the sweet kitty!  I used a sentie from the Kitty Geisha Doll and Sentiment Set also by LeighSBDesigns!  Remember our greeting is Anything Goes with an optional twist to add a heart!    There is also a Love is in the Air or Anything Goes Challenge #26 at LeighSBDesigns!  💖.   So this Loveleigh kitty is going to join that meowy fun challenge, too!

Creative Inspiration Challenges for February with LeighSBDesigns!

I have a new obsession and it is the Loveleigh Kitties Collection by our PURR-fect sponsor this month LeighSBDesigns!   Brand new kitty releases all through 2024 are coming our way!  YAY!😻

This month's fabulous kitty is Love Hearts Kitty Slimline Digi Stamp!  She is so so cute with her bows and love-leigh whiskers! :)  I colored her with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers then fussy cut leaving a white border.  My card is one I cut out on my own and I have seen similar ones and I am sure they have a name but I do not remember what it is!  So after cutting out the pink base I used some pretty marbled paper and cut the top layers.  I inked all the edges with Distress Ink abandoned coral and stamp the sentiment (freebie from a magazine) in the same ink adding some gold gel pen hearts here and there!  Now it's your turn to dazzle us out of the February gloom with your projects!  We can't wait to see them at Creative Inspiration Challenges #11!

Edgar Allan Poe Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns, Day 2

At first glance this will not look much like a Poe approved project but it is and will be more so tomorrow!  For today this Hinged Card Box SVG by Dreaming Tree has the feather quill pen which makes me think of Poe!  Tomorrow I hope to have its other features ready but time just swallowed me up today and this is what I have!

I have used a digital paper from the Vintage Grunge Digi Paper Pack by LeighSBDesigns along with some 12 x 12 papers from my stash.  All the details and linky party for the 9th Annual Edgar Allan Poe Blog Hop presented by LeighSBDesigns can be found here!

Edgar Allan Poe Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns!

🎉Happy Birthday, Mr. Poe!🥳  I can't believe it is that time of the year again but I am always glad to see the Edgar Allan Poe Blog Hop presented by LeighSBDesigns come around!  It's so fun to create around Edgar Allan Poe with friends!  Sharing and blog hopping are such inspirations to me!

This totally stunning dapper kitty is a brand new release by our hostess and POE-tastic friend, Leigh aka LeighSBDesigns!  He is the second release in the PURRfect Loveleigh Kitties Collection and his name is Edgar Allan POE Puss! 😻  He is colored up with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers with white gel pen accents and a sparkly acrylic gold tail, buttons and raven eye!  His majestic splendor called for a dramatic opening scene for my blog hop this year so my card had to become his stage!   The card is a curtain fold pattern following the tutorial at Butterfly Challenge!  I made it work on a slimline card base made from three of the amazing papers from the Vintage Grunge Digi Paper Pack from the 2023 Edgar Allan Poe releases by Leigh!  The curtain was also from the same digi paper pack!  Just a heads up here:  all of LeighSBDesigns Poe designs are on SALE through January 23rd!  I printed out the sentie from the Romancing Poe Collage Set after coloring the background in Procreate and popped it up on a purple popsicle stick I found in my distress ink box!  Speaking of my ink box, I used vintage photo Distress Ink to ink all edges involved in this production!  Then I added some glitter bits for the bottom corners and the center of the curtain!  The only thing missing from this production is my tiny Poe!  This is the second year he has been missing! 😢  I have the whole family on the lookout for him so I am hopeful he will make an appearance before the finale of the blog hop!  Check out all the details of the blog hop and the linky to enter here at the 9th Annual Edgar Allan Poe Blog Hop Main Post presented by LeighSBDesigns!

January 7th Sunday Songs and Rhymes Challenge with The Outlawz!

Our inspiration poem is New Beginnings by Christoper Westra at Sunday Songs and Rhymes this time!

I was inspired by the line “Fresh start everyday” and found the most perfect image to make a digital postcard with!
This amazing rooster is from the Gecko Galz “Southwest Style” free page on their blog under the FREE PAGES section!  I absolutely love this fellow and he reminds me of new mornings, fresh starts and new beginnings!  I made my postcard in Procreate and used this awesome quote from Dr. Suess decorating the background of it with a matching purple and popping some pink mountain-y shapes from my brush sets.  I can’t wait to print these out on some postcard blanks I have because I really do love these!  Make sure you tell us what inspired you from the poem when you show us your creations!  Happy  New Year 🎊🎈🎆
