April at Creative Inspiration Challenges 🐣

 Happy Easter and I hope spring is treating everyone nicely like it is in my area of the world!  

A big thank you to Pattie’s Creations for sponsoring us this month!   It was so fun coloring up Butterfly on Daisy and Mouse with Umbrella and Raincoat and making a card and a cute Easter shaker box to hold candy for a basket!

I used Ohuhu Honolulu alcohol markers with brush tips to color the images.  I used digital paper from Creative Fabrica for both pieces.  I made my sentiments in Procreate and printed out.   Excuse the photos I had to just shoot and go and they are  rough!

Instead of tossing a little candy box I covered it, added the foam tape to the inside and added a cardboard insert with the super cute mouse and added some crystal raindrops with green sprinkles for the shake.  Just enough room left to add some candy for my daughter’s Easter basket!  Yup, they still get one every year 😁

Creative Inspiration Challenges March

 I’m out due to cataract surgery but have three projects previously blogged but worth another peep at 👀. The notebook cover was made using a stencil for an acrylic paint background and I colored the image and fussy cut then glued.   The wall hangings were colored and layered all in Procreate then cut and attached to some cereal box cardboard and ribbon added.  Now we want to see your fabulous makes at Creative Inspiration Challenges for March!

Thanks to Art with Flo on YouTube for the tutorial on creating this adorable little bird in Procreate!   I was thrilled when he came out so cute!   I decided to add to my calendar stack so I added the bird onto a digital paper from by Qiubare Studio at Creative Fabrica and adding the sweet sentie and calendar portion.

February Creative Inspiration Challenges

 Time for our February challenge and our them as always is Anything Goes!   A huge thank you to All Dressed Up Stamps, Etsy for sponsoring us this month!   I had some inside crafty time with the adorable image “Hugs”.

I colored her up with Ohuhu alcohol markers and made a floating type from card that was impossible to take a pic of with it standing open tent style   The papers are from Valentine’s Day Seamless Digital Papers by Craftfiles - SVG, at Creative Fabrica.

 I made my side panel with the sentiment also from Creative Fabrica named “Love Alice” which made me think of Alice in Wonderland, of course!  Really awesome heart font!

I made the top panel with the sweet image a booklet and added my watermark in it while editing the photo!  I’m in a rather silly mood today 😋   Now time to see what you’re getting up to and creating to show us at Creative Inspiration Challenges!

Edgar Allan Poe Appreciation Mini Blog Hop LeighSBDesigns

 We are preparing for a solid week of freezing temperatures with possible icy roads which here in the South an icy patch makes us all demolition derby drivers!   So preparations must be made today!  Lots of hot cocoa and sweets maybe a King Cake or two to see us through!   Believe it or not I’m posting at 7:30 am today! 😱.  I’m a huge fan of the movie “The Raven” with John Cusack portraying Edgar Allan Poe.  Today’s project is an homage to that film and all Poe films that have come before!   Also more importantly LeighSBDesigns is hosting the 11th Annual Edgar Allan Poe Appreciation Mini Blog Hop for 2026 right now through the 23rd!  Thanks, Leigh and Val ❤️❤️❣️

I made my movie poster with some grabs of some old films and “The Raven” with ultra cutie John Cusack.  I made a digital stamp from a scene in the movie and using Procreate I colored it up with watercolors and some acrylic brush strokes.  I added that as a top layer and it all rests on a beautiful she of digital paper by LeighSBDesigns Classic Poe Grunge Digi Paper Pack that has 6 papers!   I wanted the Raven on the paper to have a prominent place but I under estimated the other pieces but there is a wonderful Raven hiding back there!
