December 10th Sunday Song and Rhymes!

I was inspired to create this after reading The Oxen by Thomas Hardy.  It tells of a nativity scene and the oxen bowing down and all bowing down.  It is a scene replayed in my memory listening to the reading of the nativity as a child through my adult years.

This little scene was created using a set precolored by Jo Kavanagh Designs on Etsy!  I have used her images and stamp sets before and I am never disappointed in their quality, value and just their  awesomeness!  The set came with all of these characters, the wisemen and their gifts and the manger, palm tree and star.  Also two backgrounds, this one I chose with the stable, sand, trees and night sky and without stable and 4 papers.  So much for such a totally terrific price!  Please give her shop a visit and see all the goodies for yourself!  (No, I am not on her DT just really love her designs!)   

 

October 29th The 31 Days of Halloween presented by LeighSBDesigns!

The saga of the printer gremlin and my doctor's xray machine gremlin continue!  Alas, no back injection or printed images until they decide to evaporate so we roll the best way we can!💀

October 18th The 31 Days of Halloween with LeighSBDesigns!

Super quickie tonight!  Doctor approved the injection and gave me a steroid shot to try to hold me until they get it set up so all's good on that front!  I started two cards this morning knowing I wouldn't be feeling too chipper tonight!

These two stamps and sentiments I usually use every 31 DOH if they aren't lost!👻  They are from a set by Tim Holtz from many years past!  I used some digital papers by Jo Kavanagh Designs Etsy adding some washi tape for sparkle and some puff dots in silver and black!  I added some bits of color with Copics and a white colored pencil and off we go!  I am adding this to The 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop presented by LeighSBDesigns!  Deets and linky party are here!  I am also a crypt keeper at The Countdown to Halloween, 2022!

Tonight's lapel fold card was inspired by Iced Images YouTube and followed along semi-closely with a few hiccups 👻!  The star of the show is Grimm Batleigh from the Batleighs Set if 3 Bats and one senti by LeighSBDesigns!

September 11th Stay Crafty @Home Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns

This is a 2 month long "Anything Goes" hop that ends September 25th at 11:55pm pacific!  Leigh's blog hops are stress free...you play when you want and how much you want!  All the details are HERE at LeighSBDesigns Inspiration Blog!  The linky party is there, too! 😉  Super excited for the new Cats Galore Collage and Senti set from LeighSBDesigns!  This has been such an fabulous Stamptember and so much more to come!  I am semi-proud of myself for my project for today!  It is a card and the images change when you open it!  I know, who would have thunk it??

It features some wickedly cute sloths from Jo Kavanagh Designs at Etsy.  This was a labor of love...meaning I had to shore up the thin green cardstock with some thick patterned paper AFTER putting the green one together.  Usually I would have just chucked it and forgot about it but I kept going and walah! I have a sliding panel card!  The sentiment was a stamp I picked up at one of the box stores and the sun rays at the top of the sentiment are from a Concord & 9th die set.  The moon I free handed and I stamped some Distress Ink stars.  Popped on some sequins and called this one finished!  For those wanting a wonderful tribute for today, Leigh has this touching image on the Inspiration Blog in the Freebie section.  I did some simple color in a paint program.  2020 has been a very challenging year for the world but we can survive this and be our best selves 💗.
