Dec. 20th Final Day of Tis the Season Blog Hop!

 What will I do to make my lazy self limp out of bed and craft now that it is the last day of the Tis the Season Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns!!😱  Well, here we go with saving the bestest image for the lastest!

Merry Craftmas Sandy Oddleigh Wreath digital image by LeighSBDesigns!  I took the elements of the wreath and used them for the sketch elements for the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  The beautiful Val is hosting the challenge that ends Dec.  22 and is hosted by our totally fabulous Leigh at LeighSBDesigns!  I am horrible I tell you at sketch challenges!  I can go no farther than seeing each little component just as it is presented in the sketch!  Other talented folks can make out of the box, over the top from that same sketch and it amazes me!  But I had to play this one even if I knew it was gonna be simplistic I knew Sandy Oddleigh would make it sparkle!   I used the three paint tubes for the right hand embellishment and the Oddleigh Ink and ink blender for the left hand embellishment.  I colored everything with Prismacolor pencils and added some white gel pen highlights and some Golden high gloss varnish on the eyes, lips and metal pieces of the crafting tools.  This is one for Leigh's Tis the Season Blog Hop and the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

I forgot to link this one up when it published for Ike’s World Challenges so here it is now!  Ike’s Christmas/Anything Goes Challenge is still open so make sure you link up all these fabulous Christmas projects there, too!   LeighSBDesigns Tis the Season Blog Hop closes tomorrow so still time for a last minute play!  Check out all the fabulous designs available at LeighSBDesigns and Ike’s Art!  Both wonderful people have sales going on right now and you know you want more of their images!   I used Xmas Poinsettia and colored it with Prismacolor pencils.  The background started out kinda muted and I inked with Distress ink around the edges and blended it toward the yellow ocher pencils.  Somehow it went pop out yellow on me again!  So I apologize for any eye strain!  Still catching up on commenting.  Sitting at the computer is killing my back so trying to do it from my iPad which means lotsa mistakes!

Susan has had so many lovely watercolor projects that have inspired me during this event!    So this is me tipping my hat to Susan🧑🏻‍🎄!  Nianiani did a gorgeous tutorial on these trees; her picture is totally fabulous! Nature really is not my strong point in painting but I had a go at it!  I am entering this in  LeighSBDesigns Holiday-tastic Tis the Season Blog Hop!  This is a play as little or much as you want blog hop and the rules, details, and kinky are HERE🥰. I am writing this blog on my iPad cause my reoccurring back problems have occurred lol and I can’t sit at my computer.  Please excuse the linking errors that might /probably are happening!

Dec. 14th Tis the Season Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns!

 I picked this cute little Mama Elephant stamp and die cut set up Saturday at Tuesday Morning.  It was super cheap (4.99) and I really loved it!  I made a tag using some papers and some mistletoe which much to my surprise I had not mistletoe stamp!   I "borrowed" some foliage from another stamp set I had and with some mowed lawn Distress Ink, shimmer spray, and some confetti I made up a sprig and attached a silver tie ribbon to it.  So now they are happily kissing under the mistletoe!

December 13th Tis the Season Blog Hop

Today is my late parent's 61st wedding anniversary 💖💕 and I just wanted to mark the day here on my blog.  I always asked them why the 13th!!! for a wedding and they simply said Daddy could get off of work on that day so the 13th and a Friday no less it was!  That has always taught me the lesson of not believing in superstition...but I will create using that theme cause it is fun!  I bought a Christmas cactus for their anniversary because we always had one or two or three in both our houses and sadly, I had neglected all of them and had none.  So now we have these little beauty!  

The cute trio flying through the snow was on my clipboard (real one, I don't know how to use a computer one 😋) since the summer and I cannot remember who the artist is!!  If you know would you leave that info in the comments below?  Just some simple colored pencil coloring and some papers from a mini set I bought years ago and all done!  And those gardening friends out there may notice I haven't repotted the plant yet...that is cause I wanted to see it bloom one time before I subject it to my green??? thumb!

And last of all, I painted this painting in acrylics in 2017 in memory of my parents, who both passed away in 2016.  It is from a tutorial by the awesome artist Ginger Cook on  Youtube.  I personalized it with the sign "P & J's Store" for my Daddy and Mama, Pat and Joe.  I won't apologize for being as old as I am and saying mama and daddy cause I am a southern belle and that's how we do it.  I added my name on another sign.  It was really a part of my healing process and though not perfect at all I do treasure it!  We used to travel little backroads enjoying the sights like little stores and antique or junk shops!

Dec. 12 Tis the Season Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns!

 

Noel has a completely white Husky dog named Luka and he spends most of his time begging his Nana (me) for treats and lolling about for pets with his tongue looking just like the picture above!  This was a watercolor tutorial by Nianiani and I did my best to alter him to be Luka.  I totally tore the right hand corner of the paper when taking the masking tape off!  Did I let that stop me?  Nope, so I am linking this to Leigh's Tis the Season Blog Hop!  (I mean what is glue for but to fix life's little mishaps?)
