September Paper a la Mode Challenge with The Outlawz!

 More September fun with The Outlawz Paper a la Mode Challenge!  We got to have a play with designs by our sponsor this month Vectoria Designs!  Thanks so much for sponsoring us and allowing us to show your work!  I used the Pumpkin Patch Digital Journaling Kit and my oh my, it is gorgeous and delightful!

I love fall, pumpkins and especially pumpkins of all shapes and colors!  I think some are called squash but by any name they are all spectacular!  I worked on the two journal pages as my beginning and just went crazy layering elements from the set in Photoshop!  This is earmarked to be a printed out journal when things get a little calmer around the old homestead!  We hope you can come and join us this month for The Outlawz Paper a la Mode Challenge where the theme is Fall into Adventure!  My adventure led me to the pumpkin patch!  Where will your adventure begin?

The Outlawz Progressive/Freebie Challenge for September!

 Hi, everyone and welcome to September!  Cooler days I am hoping and lots of time for fall crafting!  Here at The Outlawz Progressive/Freebie Challenge we are creating with Star Stampz!

The image we are using is "Autumn Fall Girl Reading" and what a beautiful digital image it is!  Thanks so much to Star Stampz for sponsoring us this month and supplying the image!

I colored the image with Copics and used watercolor paint for the background.  I layered that on red and inked all edges with Distress Ink.  The kraft bottom layer I used acrylic paints in orange, red, gold and yellows to paint leaf strokes and when dry I inked the veins with a gold gel pen.  I made the senti in Photoshop and added washi tape corners to leaf it up a bit more!  We hope you are playing along with us each month and if you need to sign up then all the info is at The Outlawz Progressive/Freebie Challenge!  Come join in the fun!

The Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge!

Howdy folks!  Our challenge for this two weeks is to use a Sweet Hello (hello can be any form of greeting with a sweet image or word to it) and the optional twist is to add a leaf!

 I used the oh so sweet image Sweet BFF's  and I used the precolored version!  I used backgrounds and the sentiment created on Procreate!

My next card is from the very versatile Deer Holiday Wishes set which contains 5 images and 3 sentiments all of which are so very lovely!  I colored up this little adorable deer wishing a Happy Birthday with Copics and used Christmas papers and ribbons!

The Outlawz Sunday Songs and Rhymes Challenge!

August 7 - 20 at The Outlawz Sunday Songs and Rhymes is being sponsored by LeighSBDesigns and our inspiration song is Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas by Sam Smith!  I was inspired by the title of the song which makes me think of how much I love the holiday season!  To help me share this yule tide joy is Oddleigh Poinsettia Elf with a sentiment from  A Charming Christmas Compendium of Festive Sayings!

I colored the gorgeous Oddleigh Poinsettia with Copics and layered her on some patterned paper then layering on a Gelli print paper embossed with a poinsettia embossing folder!  Then to add some shine I used a green metallic sheet for the base!  I printed the senti out and inked the edges with Distress Ink and popped on foam dots!  So I am in such a Christmas mood right now!  Grab your crafting goodies and come play along with us!  Please remember to tell us what word or phrase or feeling from the song that inspired your project!

Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges August

It's August and at Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges it's Challenge #8 Summertime Buzz with the optional challenge twist to add a Dragonfly on your Summertime Buzz projects!  And we are sponsored by the fabulous LeighSBDesigns this month!!! The main prize winner will receive $5 to spend at LeighSBDesigns boutique!  Does anyone need any more fun and crafty goodness??  This is like summer time heaven....dragonflies, bees and Leigh!

On these hot, humid days Oddleigh Bee says stay cool and Bee Yourself!  She is hovering over a happy Busy Bees Collage!  Everything is colored with Copics with a colored pencil happy blue sky around the Busy Bees!  I layered the images on kraft paper and printed the sentiment on kraft.  A little white gel pen for some sparkles and all is ready!  We look forward to seeing your Summertime Buzz projects at Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges!

TTCRD July 19th with JMC Designs!

Here we are in the middle of a scorching hot July where I live and ready for another challenge at Through The Craft Room Door!  We are sponsored by JMC Designs and I had the pleasure of working with the digital image "Harvey" from the collection Happy Campers! 

I love camping and this little cute camper (which I know has an air conditioner!) would be the perfect place for a nice quiet getaway by the lake!

I colored Harvey up with colored pencils in bright happy colors!  I popped the image after trimming onto some patterned paper after inking all the edges with Distress Ink crackling campfire.  I made space for my tags (birthday wishes cut from a paper pad with ribbons added) with foam tape around it to make it a happy pocket!  The background is more patterned paper from the same paper pad also with the edges inked!  I added some white gel pen marks here and there and added a small pink pearl for the door knob.  You can't go wrong with any of the images from this collection is you want to send a smile to someone young or old!  We hope to see you at Through The Craft Room Door for this challenge which is Anything Goes and sponsored by the awesome JMC Designs!
