March 28th Sunday Songs & Rhymes

Our inspiration this time comes from a song by Bing Crosby titled "Swinging on a Star"!  It is a fun one so grab some inspiration and let's go!

My inspiration came from "A new kind of jumped-up slippery fish" of course! :)

I had such a lovely digital play time with Neptune Balleigh Mermonster Set by LeighSBDesigns!   

Neptune and his sidekick shrimp and senti are from last year and I gave them a playful home using Leigh's brand new digital paper set Vintage Bubbles from her newly released designs this month!  I hope you will come play with us at  The Outlawz Sunday Songs & Rhymes Challenge!

May 27th Happy Half-O-Ween with LeighSBDesigns!

BOO!  It's only six months away!  Happy Half-O-Ween!  I managed to paint a wee tiny bit whilst laid up with the fractured leg!

Tiny Poe with his gorgeous name (that I honestly tried so hard to link up to but failed miserably!) had to be the presenter for my first make!  He does throw a nasty temper tantrum when crossed! 👻 The design is of course one of LeighSBDesigns and I am sorry I can't provide the link or name!   

This positively glowing raven is painted with acrylic paints following a tutorial by the Art Sherpa!  I love him so much!  He is my entry for the first day at Something Wicked this way Comes Half-O-Ween Blog Hop presented by LeighSBDesigns!  All the deets are here so come get spooky with us!

I immediately thought of my sweet Mama who passed away in 2016 when I saw this image!  She loved ducks in all shapes and sizes!  The love that moms show for their babies is a love that can’t be replicated.  I wanted to wish my Mama a happy Mother’s Day and thank her for all the love she gave me 💕

Most Magical Time of the Year May Challenge with Mirtillamente!

 Welcome to my project for the Most Magical Time of the Year challenge for May!  We will now be an Anything Halloween or Christmas Goes challenge!  So bust out those haunting Halloween stamps and charming Christmas images and come play along with us!

I used the delicious image Christmas Sweets this time!  Since I am still basically bed bound with a broken leg I have been enjoying creating with Procreate on my iPad.  I colored up this yummy scene in Procreate and added some Christmas lights an ornament and a candy cane for embellies!  I used some candy cane digital paper for my back layer.  Both the paper and embellishments are from Creative Fabrica.  So you decide if you want to spook us or give us Christmas fantasies and get busy creating!  You can even do both!  We love to visit your blog twice and see you projects!

Spring Fantasy Kitties for May at Crazy for Cats Challenge !  Think spring and fantasy and oh what fun we can come up with!   I have a little fantasy Bastet the Catfish chilling in a beautiful sea!

 

I colored the wavy blue sea up in Procreate and also colored Bastet with Procreate!  He is sending a super friendly wish for you all to have a fantastic day! Here is my project using one of my all time favorite images Teddy Bear Valentine Wreath!

Creative Inspiration Challenges for May with LeighSBDesigns!

 Here we go with our 2nd challenge at Creative Inspiration Challenges sponsored by our awesome friend Leigh at LeighSBDesigns!  Woohoo!   Leigh has a brand new spring collection out and I had so much fun working with these images:  Daisy Dragonfly Digi Stamp and Spring Meadow Wreaths Digi Stamp Set of 2 and Spring Wildflowers Dragonfly Digi Stamp and Spring Wildflowers Wreath!

P.S. I added a background from the Spring Wildflowers Decorative Digi Paper Pack.  The projects below both have the fabulous papers for backgrounds!

I colored Daisy Dragonfly and Spring Wildflowers Dragonfly in Procreate and added the Spring Meadow Wreath and Spring Wildflowers Wreath  in Photoshop coloring  them in Procreate.  Then I glued to some cereal cardboard and  cut the wreaths out and added a ribbons for hanging.   They will be hanging in my kitchen today!  I also had two gorgeous images left after using them for the projects above! Bonus Time! 😁

May 1st The Outlawz Monday Greetings with Fred She Said Designs!

Our challenge this time is to use a Celebrate Greeting (non-holiday) with an optional twist to add a flower!  Our delightful sponsor is Fred She Said Designs who very generously let us create with some awesome image sets!  A huge thank you to Fred She Said Designs! 

I had a blast playing with Smelling the Cherry Blossoms Set which included the cherry blossoms in .jpeg and .png!   You know how much I love cherry blossoms so what better celebration than cherry blossom season in Japan!  I colored up the super cute little girl in Procreate before printing her out and also printed out some pink cherry blossoms in various sizes.  I made my background paper using those amazing cherry blossoms in Photoshop!  The senti is from Crafter's Square!  I popped the blossoms and senti up on foam dots for some added dimension!  My photo skills are sad at the best of times but trying to stay stable on crutches and take a photo was just too much for me!  😞   But not even my photography skills could make this little image less cheery and gorgeous!  Now come on and play with us at The Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenges for May and please make sure you use our required greeting so you can win!

 We have a lovely flower in a bottle for this month to play with!  I am on my third week of bed rest for a broken leg with three more weeks to go!  So digital projects are fun and way easier for me to do!
