Challenge: Oct. 31st!!! It's Halloween, Witches!

Hip hip hooray!  It's Halloween, Witches!👻  I tried to fit anything I hadn't used from Leigh's Once Upon a Nightmare Halloween Collection for 2021 and still didn't succeed but there are plenty more opportunities to try!

I used the following designs by LeighSBDesigns: Once Upon a Moonlit Night,  Fae Folk Silhouette, Wicked Witch & Hissy Cat,  Jack O Lantern Lace, Poison Drips Border, and bits from the Furness Forest Faerie Ring.  I linked each one separately for your shopping ease!  The sentiment is from A Wicked Compendium of Sayings for Halloween!  I grabbed the last Halloween paper pad at Michael's today and the glitter papers and background and the card behind the sentiment are from it.  It is the Enchanted Forest!

Cat Lovers Hop 2021 & The 31 Days of Halloween 🎃

I read on on a blog yesterday and remembered Noel telling me when she adopted Rosie, her black cat, this year that black cats are the least adoptable kitties at shelters.  Apparently people take the bad luck thing seriously which I do find hard to believe!  So tonight’s card is for all the black kitties in the world who I know for a fact party the hardest!!😽

The party 🎈 cat is from the Black Cats Collage Sheet by Gecko Galz! I used the words “Black Cats” from the title on the collage sheet and tried to match the font in Procreate to finish the sentiment!

Challenge: Oct. 30th the 31 Days of Halloween 🎃 2021

 It is official!  My Cricut and I are on a break!!  Things were said today that need time to be forgotten on my side and things were DONE that need to be forgotten by the Cricut!  But not to be defeated I pulled myself together and came up with this little 5 x 7 inch canvas!

I painted a very basic background for the Skeleton Cat Lace SVG Cutz and the Wicked Moon Furness Forestscape pieces I cut out from a printed page that I colored in Procreate. Both fantastic designs by LeighSBDesigns!  I wanted my kitty to be brave hence the sentiment which I typed up in Procreate and inked up with carved pumpkin Distress Ink.  This one goes to the challenge portion of the 31 Days of Halloween Hop + Challenge hosted by LeighSBDesigns!  The linky party and details are HERE!

Challenge: Oct. 29th the 31 Days of Halloween, 2021!

You might remember I said "First off" in yesterday's post and probably thought I had lost the plot again!  Well, you were right!  Yesterday we went to the Mississippi Aquarium in Gulfport and it was such an awesome place!  Not huge but so well thought out and beautifully built in the "hurricane resistant" way that things must be built on the coast!  To my surprise they had started decorating for a Halloween event planned for Saturday and Sunday and to my delight it is being held again the following weekend so everyone will be off and we can go!!! Yay!  I digress again...the following photos are thanks to the Mississippi Aquarium decorators!

Noel had to tell me this was Jack and Rose from the Titanic!  I refused to watch the movie ever cause it was sad but somehow this was ok?  Maybe the Halloween has gotten to me! 👻
 

They even decorated the dolphin enclosure in the window where the dolphins go to talk to the staff!  I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't saw it but this dolphin was captivated by the set up and the after viewing!   Which beings me to zombies!!  I worked on the Gothic Gazing Globe 3D Stand by LeighSBDesigns!  I tried to get fancy like our girl, Leigh, did but the laugh was on me a bit!  The file worked beautifully alas my Cricut did not so I ended up winging it a tad but it looks awesome among my other Halloween decorations!  The Zombie Stare kept giving me spooky looks from my desk so he got a prime spot on this gazing globe!  He is also by Leigh!  I used my goodie bags in red behind the pumpkins and colored the zombie with Copics making sure to print a mirror image of him so he can be seen from every angle!

Cat Lover's Hop & Oct. 7th Catch Up!

Today I wrote down a journal page dictated by Ichigo, my cat!  Was I surprised to hear what he was up to last night!!

I used a journal page for the background from the Frightfully Delightful Digital Junk Journal Kit by Gecko Galz!   The not so frightful but utterly delightful cat image is from the Black Cat Collage Set by Gecko Galz!  I have an old dictionary that has fallen apart and I used strips from moon-based definitions and inked with tea dye Distress Ink.  I inked both parts of the journal page with vintage photo and chipped sapphire Distress Inks before wrapping the bottom page with twine. I wrote the dictated part of the page with a black marker.  I am entering this at the 31 Days of Halloween Hop + Challenge hosted by LeighSBDesigns!  All the details and linky party are HERE!

Challenge: Oct. 28th The 31 Days of Halloween, 2021

I have to admit when I saw the sentiments I used tonight with the cats; I thought about cats and 9 lives and maybe normal 3 cats ago that way.  Then I saw Leigh's post with these and it made much more sense to me that the person/witch was probably normal 3 cats ago!!!😼  Cats are such complex creatures!!!

This is flip hanging card (I made that up) using Wicked Witch and Hissy Cat,  Furness Forest Faerie Ring,  Black Cat Set Sentiments and  Once Upon a Moonlit Night Colourize It. All by the faBOOlous LeighSBDesigns!  And there is still time to catch the sale HERE!

I never through away any left over pieces after assembling a SVG so thanks to that I had extra kitties (thanks Susan R. again for the stacked cats) and two parts of the Wicked Moon for a hanger!  This one is off the 31 Days of Halloween Blog + Challenge hosted by LeighSBDesigns!  All the details and linky party are HERE!

Challenge: Oct. 27th the 31 Days of Halloween, 2021!

First off I have a spooky forest-scape with the Sleeping Batleigh Bats, Grimm, Betsi and Bram all resting cozily!  But wait!  Grimm hears something rustling in the distance and is alert with one eye open to make sure his brother and sister stay safe through the night!  They are hanging about in the Furness Forest Winter Treescape and all these fabulous designs are from LeighSBDesigns! 

I won't apologize for using the treescape and the sentiment (which is from A Wicked Compendium of Sayings for Halloween by Leigh!)  again this hop cause I LOVE them!  I could use every new release image 3 times  each and not tire of the fun they provide!  I used Distress Inks candied apple, abandoned coral and carved pumpkin for the background.  Another one done for the challenge portion of the 31 Days of Halloween Hop + Challenge hosted by LeighSBDesigns!  All the details and linky party are HERE!

Cat Lovers Hop, 2021

 I am happy to be playing in the Cat Lovers Hop this year hosted by Janis at Her Peaceful Garden Blog.  Two of my all time favorite designers are sponsoring this year again....drum roll please!!  Ike's Art (you will find the new store HERE!) and LeighSBDesigns!  Yay!

This super cute little digi is by Fairy Ink ( I am almost certain but could not find it anywhere to link...I tried every spelling, too!)😿  I made an ATC with some paper from my stash and a die cut.  I colored the kitty up with Copics giving him a dash of Halloween on his wings!  So off he flies to the Cat Lovers Hop!

Some gleaming pumpkins, a witch and a Jinx cat tonight coming at ya!

I used Mushroom Faerie Ring, Wicked Witch + Jinx Black Cat and Jack O Lanterns Lace SVG by LeighSBDesigns!  I used the mushroom ring in png and overlayed a background I had made in Procreate.  The jack-o-lanterns bottom layer is spritz with Distress Inks.  The sentiment is from A Wicked Compendium of Sayings for Halloween by Leigh, also!  I am entering this in the challenge portion of the 31 Days of Halloween Hop + Challenge hosted by LeighSBDesigns!  All the details and linky party can be found HERE!
