Good Vibes Kitty for SUYP Challenge April!

 

I colored this little kitty up in January and he has sadly been tossed about and had things piled up on him since then.  His fur got a little bit our of hand and I had never colored a balloon with markers so I wasn't thrilled with him.  As I realized April had gotten away from me and I hadn't entered Ike's Show Us Your Pussycats Challenge, I decided to stamp a sentiment on him (park lane clear stamp) and give him the bright colorful background he needed to soar in!  He has grown on me! 😽  The cutie is by Polkadoodles and he is a freebie!  Purr-fect Wishes!

Ike’s World Challenges Midway April Post😊

 I don’t know about you all but life needs to slow down just a smidge so I can catch up!  My azaleas and wisteria have bloomed and been washed away before I could even get more than a quick pic of them!  Oh well,  it is mid-April and time for me to show you the cutest dang image in the world by Ike’s Art 🥰.  This set is Gnome’s Beach Set!  This took me back to my 12 year old self and grabbing these little suckers at the fair!  I got this set last November? maybe, and although I have NOT wanted to rush our cooler weather away, I was eager to use this one!  So here they are all dressed up (well, you know what I mean!) and ready for Ike's World Challenges #143 Springtime/ Anything Goes!

Started out all markers until sooo many of the Spectrum Noirs were dried up so fast track to acrylics for most all of the background and markers for the gnomies.  The sentiment is from Park Lane at Joann’s  and I just snagged it today for these guys spring break photo!

Now come on and get busy creating some fun makes for the challenge this month!  We are on challenge number 143 Anything Goes/ Springtime!  I skipped right to summer cause it is hot as blazes here!💥

As I was typing away at this I realized my project can be Anything Goes or Sringtime! (the spring break photo part cleared that up in my head)   I know my mind is a terrifying place to be most of the time!  See ya soon!

International Bat Day Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns!

 The faBOOlous Batleigh trio by LeighSBDesigns is out to try their best to spook us!  Watch out!  Grimm, Bram and Betsi Batleigh have the light of the bat world behind them as they swoop into our homes!

I used a Halloween lantern cut file from Dreaming Tree that was a freebie!  Sadly no vellum was to be found in my stash so parchment paper it was colored over with a yellow marker.  Then it was all up to a bit of glue, some fussy cut out Batleighs, and some twinkle lights stuffed in the lantern!

March 24th Spring Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns!

 Well, I am officially a year older since Monday but in this past year of uncertainty and worry I am wearing this birthday like a badge of honor for sure!  Spring is coming in like a lion here in the South and I do hope it goes out like a lamb!   I haven't played as much as I wanted to at the Spring Blog Hop hosted by Leigh;  time just is not slowing down a jot around here!

I am still playing with my marker classes.  This was a bonus lesson from Kit and Clowder.  Each month if you are a member of the pencil or markers (or both) classes you receive a free bonus lesson.  This was colored with Spectrum Noir markers and I have a very few of the greens in Copics.  This will look good in a frame I think! :)

I am in love with the Baby Bunny Balleigh Monsters that Leigh has set free with her Spring New Releases!  This set comes with three adorable bunnies and a delightful bunny border!  I am particularly all a giggle over Baby Balleigh Monster BunBun!  I do hope that doesn't offend Nibbles and Tipsy!

After being inspired by Leigh's ornament for St. Patrick's Day (check out the new releases all things green at LeighSBDesigns, too!) I made this door/cabinet hanging ornament.  Still playing again with the Spectrum Noir markers while waiting to augment my Copic markers :)  The balloons are from Romeo Balleigh Monster's set!   I used a white gel pen and my white Prismacolor pencil to try to soften some of the colors that went too dark.  I inked the edges with worn lipstick and mowed lawn Distress Inks.
