Queen of Hearts Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns!

 

Are you ready for Challenge #14 Queen of Hearts at LeighSBDesigns?  So this month it's all about the hearts! 💕  The oh so romantic Juliet Balleigh Monster Valentine Set is the star of my project!

Juliet is sending her love from a starry night (Vincent van Gogh inspiration) with gorgeous cherry blossoms falling to the ground!  I painted a 6 x 8 canvas paper with acrylic paints.  The Art Sherpa has a fantastic Frozen canvas with this gorgeous swirl in the sky on her Youtube channel!  Flicks from an old paint brush and some light pink paint made the cherry blossoms.  I colored up Juliet and the hearts with Copics highlighting with a white gel pen.  I added some pink strokes of the light pink paint to the two senties I used that are included in the set!  This was so much fun to create!  I am entering her in Challenge #14 Queen of Hearts at LeighSBDesigns!

February 5th The Outlawz Sunday Song & Rhyme Challenge!

 Jumping right into our poem for this challenge's inspiration:

I was inspired by the first line about the lonely cloud and the fourth line about golden daffodils.  

I colored Japanese Clouds by LeighSBDesigns and colored the sky blue in Photoshop adding to a bottom layer of the same blue.  Then I added the daffodil image from Koelsch Art Etsy and created a sentiment in Photoshop.  I always enjoying working with Japanese Clouds and the daffodil image just seem to go so well with the clouds.  Please make sure to tell us what inspired you from the poem!  We look forward to seeing you at The Outlawz Sunday Song and Rhyme Challenge!

February Outlawz Paper a la Mode Challenge!

It's February and it's time to create a project (no cards) with the theme "I love..."  That is an easy one and we do hope you come along and play at The Outlawz Paper a la Mode Challenge!

My decision for this scrapbook layout was super easy!  I love my kids!  I used some digital paper pakc set that was titled "Sugar Sweet" from "A Bit More Time to Craft Challenge"  ( this was a freebie pack on their blog.  They are on a break right now.)  It is a beautiful set and I sadly covered most of it up but it gave me a fantastic color palette to use!  I also used a digital image, the heart, that I think might be from Scribbles Designs.  I created this page in Procreate and used a ton of the brushes I have there (originally installed and some I bought and a few I created) and played with the bokeh effect brush and star illuminations...just overall had a good time!  Noah and Noel are polar opposites!  Noel was born posing and smiling for photos and Noah is my stoic child.  He is much more comfortable with the camera in his hand taking photos not being in front of one!  So tell us what you love this month!  Children, grandchildren, pets ( oh, my goodness but I need to make another page for my fur grandbabies!) your flowers, cars, you name it and if you love it show us at The Outlawz PAM Challenge for February!

 

Crazy for Cats Challenge February !

Crazy for Cats Challenge #4 for February is sponsored by the fantastic LeighSBDesigns 😻!  I have two projects using Kitty Geisha Doll and Sentiments Set.  Unfortunately my only photo that I could use was my blog photo which pixelated on me in a not nice way!  

So I had a nice creative time on Procreate using Kitty Geisha Doll  and Sentiment, Cherry Blossom Branch and Japanese Clouds Background and made another snapshot of the scene! :)

Here is Romeo Balleigh Monster who is soooo in love and perhaps those hearts are actually flying through the air and infecting the love sick fellow!  I created this in Procreate....coloring up Romeo and adding him to a background paper I had or created (not sure at all!) 💖  I added the hearts and the sentiment and changed the color of the senti to pink!  Some stitching around the edges and we were done!  Romeo comes with two senties "Love Sick" and "Smitten"!  Both describe the adorable monster perfectly!  So grab some crafty goodies and choose from sweet love or dark romance or Christmas or travel adventures!  You can find awesome images to fit this challenge whatever theme you choose at LeighSBDesigns!  Come play with us at The Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge for February!

We all know how fond cats are of cardboard boxes!  This little guy wants to have a bit of fun in a wine box!  I used Procreate to create this scene.  I colored the image up and added a green to match my outdoors background.  The background is a photo of mine snapped by the mailbox last spring.  I made the sentiment paper in Procreate and added the sentiment.   Our cutie pie kitty wants to play hide and seek!  We can't wait to visit your blogs or FB pages and see what you have come up with for this fellow!
