April at Creative Inspiration Challenges 🐣

 Happy Easter and I hope spring is treating everyone nicely like it is in my area of the world!  

A big thank you to Pattie’s Creations for sponsoring us this month!   It was so fun coloring up Butterfly on Daisy and Mouse with Umbrella and Raincoat and making a card and a cute Easter shaker box to hold candy for a basket!

I used Ohuhu Honolulu alcohol markers with brush tips to color the images.  I used digital paper from Creative Fabrica for both pieces.  I made my sentiments in Procreate and printed out.   Excuse the photos I had to just shoot and go and they are  rough!

Instead of tossing a little candy box I covered it, added the foam tape to the inside and added a cardboard insert with the super cute mouse and added some crystal raindrops with green sprinkles for the shake.  Just enough room left to add some candy for my daughter’s Easter basket!  Yup, they still get one every year 😁

February Creative Inspiration Challenges

 Time for our February challenge and our them as always is Anything Goes!   A huge thank you to All Dressed Up Stamps, Etsy for sponsoring us this month!   I had some inside crafty time with the adorable image “Hugs”.

I colored her up with Ohuhu alcohol markers and made a floating type from card that was impossible to take a pic of with it standing open tent style   The papers are from Valentine’s Day Seamless Digital Papers by Craftfiles - SVG, at Creative Fabrica.

 I made my side panel with the sentiment also from Creative Fabrica named “Love Alice” which made me think of Alice in Wonderland, of course!  Really awesome heart font!

I made the top panel with the sweet image a booklet and added my watermark in it while editing the photo!  I’m in a rather silly mood today 😋   Now time to see what you’re getting up to and creating to show us at Creative Inspiration Challenges!

Creative Inspiration Challenges with Sheepski Designs!

 It's November and we are so happy to share our projects using our fantastic sponsor SheepSki Designs for this month!   A big thank you to SheepSki Designs and please go have a look on their awesome designs!  I am using the images Mini Tree and  Stack and what delightful designs they are!

Creative Inspiration Challenges with LeighSBDesigns 🎃

Feast your spooky eyes on these glorious kitties!   Be still my little heart!  I played with the witchy Hocus Pocus Slimline Kitty Digi Stamp!😸.  

I colored the kitty with colored pencils using a bit of white acrylic paint for highlights and fussy cut leaving a small border.  Such a glamour puss needed a palatial home so I got the Cricut dusted off and started cutting out the  Raven Gothic Window Layered SVG Cutz design also by LeighSBDesigns!  You know me and shiny and sparkles so I used mirror and glitter cardstock with one plain cardstock!  The senti is printed on a digital paper I created in Procreate and is the CAToWeen Senties Set from the new collection!  Then I popped the adorable Hocus Pocus Loveleigh Kitty and sentie on the marvelous Raven Gothic Window!

September Creative Inspiration Challenges with Kate Hadfield Designs!

I made a column card that folds flat if you need it to with the totally fun filled Let’s Celebrate Bundle!

I printed out the elements I wanted to use and colored with markers and colored pencils adding a bit of white gel pen for highlights.  I used two colors of paper from the Spring Papers Kit that is Free!  I use these lovely watercolor wash looking digital papers in my digital projects and I print them out and use for hands on crafting!  This card has the oh so pretty pink and orange from the kit with one of each printed out as is and a 4 x 6 sheet of the pink the confetti stamp randomly place and colored in Procreate then printed.  That formed the “bones” of my card (and yes it is slightly wonky just like me!).   I fussy cut all of the elements and using some strips of clear plastic from a package that I, of course had squirreled away instead of tossing, I glued them across the card.  From that point it was just like decorating a room for a celebration!  I used foam dots to pop things up and glue to attach others to get lots of dimensions!   This set has many other fantastic stamps in it and if you don’t want to get the markers out the bundle has the pre colored version!  I just had to make another card while I was crafting coz I was having so much fun with this kit!

I made this card following a tutorial by Beccy at Beccy’s Place!  It is an exploding card with lots of room for many people to sign!  I colored up the champagne bottle and two glasses of bubbly with my Prisma colored pencils,  adding “25” on the champagne label for a 25th anniversary card!  For the exploding inside I added the sentie “Congratulations!” and dotted my markers for some festive color!  So the card lays really flat making the exploding part somewhat of a WOW factor indeed!  So two cards from this super fabulous set!

Creative Inspiration Challenges with All Dressed Up!

It’s July and time for a new Creative Inspiration Challenges hosted by All Dressed Up Stamps!  A big thank you to them for their continued support of our challenges!   Check out their shop here!

I got creative with the super adorable image Hedgehog Flower!  I am always drawn to hedgehogs because my son has always loved them and they are just so very cute!   This little fellow is awash with a glorious flower display!   I used markers to color her up and cut into a circle and inked the edges.  I had some leftover Cricut cuts from LeighSBDesigns so I grabbed them to make a little hanging card!  Inked all the edges, stamped the back circle with Distress Oxides and some foam flower stamps and painted the fluer de lis with green glitter paint before adding.  Some happy birthday cardstock seemed to fit this little one just right!   Gather up your craft goodies and come play with us at Creative Inspiration Challenges in July!  The theme is always Anything Goes! 😸

Creative Inspiration Challenges for May with Sheepski Designs!

I hope everyone's April showers has brought May flowers and your spring is going great!  Here at Creative Inspiration Challenges we want to give a big thank you to the awesome Sheepski Designs for sponsoring us this month!  Thanks so very much!💖   We had some creative time with these two lovely images:  Rocket and Rosie and Wild Rose Heart!

I discovered a long lost 5 x 7 sketch book that has some lovely textured paper in it.  My art journals seem to get lost at an alarming rate so I decided to dive in this one with zeal!  I colored the oh so adorable little bunnies and their background with Procreate and printed out on paper I had torn out of the book.  I cut it down to size and made and printed my sentiment in Procreate also.  The background page I inked with Distress Ink Oxides and edged the page with a gold gel pen with some faux stitching.  I inked the sentiment and image with Distress Inks mowed lawn and worn lipstick.  I glued everything down and my first page in the art journal was done!

I did my coloring of the Wild Rose Heart in Procreate and added some accents with my gold and white gel pens.  The sentie (also created in Procreate and printed out) and image are inked with worn lipstick Distress Ink.  For the background I added some corrugated cardboard pieces randomly and inked with barn door Distress Ink.  Next I added some washi tape to the seams and down the sides of the page before gluing everything down and adding a small red flower at the bottom.

I really had so much fun making these two pages!  Note to self:  Do more art journal pages!  😋  Now comes the next fun part where you create something for our challenge and give us a chance to visit you and leave you some love!   Easey Peasey, right?  So get those projects over to the Creative Inspiration Challenges where it is always Anything Goes!

April 4th Creative Inspiration Challenges with Kate Hadfield Designs!

I am usually only a digital scrapbooker but this month's selection "Signs of Spring Bundle" that we were allowed to play with made me want to color, cut out and glue!  No better therapy in the world for me!  I also used some of Kate's freebies on my page:  Bits and Pieces 3 and Spring Papers both can be found in the Doodle Den!  I had this photo of Noah taking a picture at a state park where we took a great hike with Noel.  She wasn't in this photo with this amazing tree but I added her in the corner holding a flower I added!  I layered all the images from the bundle that I was using on a separate layer than my photo and printed both out.  I colored up all the elements and layered them on the photo which I printed on glossy photo paper.  I feel like we had stepped into a Roger Rabbit world while working on this!  A real Toon Town spring photo of my kids!  I printed the Bits and Pieces elements out on cardstock and then cut out the bits I needed for my scrapbook page!  I had so much fun working on this and plan on doing many more in the future!  I hope you will visit Kate Hadfield Designs and see for yourself all the fun to be had!   We hope to see you at Creative Inspiration Challenges Blog in April!

 

Creative Inspiration Challenges for March with Pattie’s Creations 🌷

 Goodness golly gee Spring is almost here in the South!  We are still yet to have our “Easter Snap” which will surely bring some much colder weather but we will be heating up fast after that!  This month at Creative Inspiration Challenges we have the pleasure of working with Pattie’s Creations!  A big thank you to Pattie’s Creations for sponsoring us!

This delightful image is Daffodils Circle Scrolls!  I made a rocker card base and used the Honeycomb Delight Mini Stencil by Stamplorations with Distress Inks.  I colored the image in Procreate and printed out with the sky blue background.  Next I used colored pencils and gel pens to make the colors pop.  I also went around the scrolls with the gold gel pen making faux stitching lines to bring them further to the front of my card.  The Bible verse is from Fred She Said Designs “Uplifting Sentiments” and inked with a variety of Distress Ink blues then popped up on foam squares.  I also used foam squares to adhere the yellow background circle (inked with Distress Ink) after gluing the daffodil image down.  We hope you will join us at Creative Inspiration Challenges for March and show us your crafty goodies!

Creative Inspiration Challenges for January with All Dressed Up!

A huge thanks to All Dressed Up for sponsoring our January challenge at Creative Inspiration Challenges!  I had great wintery fun with the super cute Sledging Pup!

I created a box pop up card (I haven't a clue what it is really called 😋 ) but it was fun trying to work out the base!  I used a digital paper from LeighSBDesigns Pastel Blizzard Decorative Digi Paper Pack as my matte layer.  I colored up the Sledging Pup with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers, printed him out and fussy cut.  The "snowy" trees he is zipping by I randomly cut so they are a wee bit wonky, cut out, inked with white ink and added some puffy 3D paint in silver for the snowy branches.  The sentiment is also by Leigh from her A Charming Christmas Compendium of Festive Sayings.  Now off you go on your sleighs and skis and whatnots through the snow and get busy on your own creation for Creative Inspiration Challenges for January!

November Creative Inspiration Challenges with All Dressed Up!

It's November and we are ready for  Creative Inspiration Challenges sponsored by All Dressed Up this month!  Thanks so much to them!  I had the pleasure of creating with Christmas Snowglobe!

I colored the adorable image with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers.  I fussy cut and attached to a layer of glitter cardstock and then that went on to some mirror cardstock!  I can smell Christmas and that means sparkle and shine!   Then I hot glued the ribbon on the back for my ornament to hang from!  We hope you will come play with us this month!  We love seeing your creations and visiting your blogs!  So drop those gorgeous creations off at Creative Inspiration Challenges for November!

Creative Inspiration Challenges for October with LeighSBDesigns 🥳

A big BOO 👻 to you and welcome fall!  We are sponsored by the ultra FaBOOlous LeighSBDesigns this month at Creative Inspiration Challenges!  Leigh has released her This is Halloween Collection, 2023 and Poinsettia and Holly Christmas Collection for 2023!  So much holiday goodness it makes me giddy!  I had an absolutely fun crating time with one of the Magical Toadstools Artist Trading Coffin Digi Stamp + Free Label from the new Halloween collection!  I also used the Shaker Frame ATCoffins SVG Cutz FUNdamental Foundations to create a super cute shaker ATCoffin!

I the print and cut function on the Cricut to cut the  Magical Toadstool ATCoffin image and used photo paper after coloring in Procreate.  The photo paper made the colors pop!  I then used my Cricut to cut  the back of the ATCoffin Shaker, a sheet of acetate and the ATCoffin Shaker frame.   This is with the glitter shaker bits at the bottom.  Please excuse the wonderful shot of my phone in the photos! 💀  I am such an amazing photographer......NOT~

Creative Inspiration Challenges September with Kate Hadfield Designs!

September is here which means October and the possibilities of some cool weather is near!  But we can't get too cool too fast because our fantastic sponsor Kate Hadfield Designs is here! 💘   She has given us a play with the absolutely delightful set "On the Beach" 😎

I took three ATC size canvas sheets and painted some groovy, wavy backgrounds!  I colored the images from the set in Procreate and printed out then fussy cut.  I created my senties in Procreate and attached with on a layer of cardboard before gluing on my cards for some depth.  Hope you are enjoying your weather for August with some beach fun and that you join us at Creative Inspiration Challenges!

My art journal gets tossed about and forgotten so much but thanks to my bestie Sall I find myself rummaging for it more often!  I did some Gelato play with some bits of glitter glue snow in two colors with my snow piles being made of Puffy paint!  I colored the image up with Copics and fussy cut then outlined with my Pitt Big Brush!  I hope this scene brings a shiver of frost to your world if then heat is like it is here where I live!  If you are having Christmas weather then may the glow of the candle warm you up a tiny bit!   Now grab up your creative toys and come play with us at Creative Inspiration Challenges!

Creative Inspiration Challenges for June with Sheepski Designs!

 I had the opportunity to play with image 253 "Crackers" 😆  Living in the US I only realized that Christmas crackers were a thing after I started binge watching Acorn TV!  So what luck to have this adorable image to put on a Christmas cracker!  I used a free svg file from The Craft Chop to make the cracker.   I colored the little guys up with Copics and used gold acrylic paint for the confetti and star on their cracker!  Now I know you have a project mulling about in your head and we want you to get crafty with that idea!  Come join us at Creative Inspiration Challenges for June!
