Vertical Easel Card with Lost Coast Designs!

The theme is Critters at the Lost Coast Designs Portal to Creativity! Challenge #126 is all about the Critters!!!!   I used the wonderful stamp Whimsical Flora and the sentiment is from Party Words!  The card is the vertical version of an easel card and I got the directions from Iced Images on Youtube.  Here are photos of it from above and folded flat.

I don't usually make cards that require me to think too much but the videos on this channel are quiet easy to follow along with!   So this one goes to:

July 24 Christmas in July Blog Hop with Leigh!

Time for Yeti Claws to come to town!

Yeti Wishes!
I tried my hand at paper blocking to make a nice background for a print from my Gelli plate session waaay back at the beginning of this blog hop!  Leigh's Yeti (Winter Yeti Build-A-Scene Set) is colored with Prisma colored pencils and staying warm with some accessories from A Very Yeti Christmas Add-On Set!  I also used a sign from the Yeti Senti Sign Post Add-On Set to wish all a festive Christmas in July!  Everything was fussy cut and glued on the embossed Gelli print with a final sprinkling of glitter and white confetti that I dumped all over my floor!😮  Before I get that cleaned up I am going to pop this in the Christmas in July Blog Hop presented by LeighSBDesigns!  All the deets and the linky party are HERE!

July 23 Christmas in July Blog Hop with Leigh!

This little precious snowman is by Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  He is looking up and catching snowflakes on his tongue and this design is Catching Snowflakes!  This store has everything on sale for one dollar right now!  He didn't have eyes but I glued his nose too far down and he looked kinda goofy so I added some anime type eyes in Procreate to the finished card.  Yep, I cheated! 😔

I used the svg file with Cricut Design Space and didn't have any issues.  I say this because, as you know, I often do! :)  I used foam for his nose, clothes and tongue; it is blue cause the snowflakes are cold!  I sprinkled some glitter on the snowflakes to give them some shine and heat embossed the sentiment, which is from Lost Coast Designs, Party Words.  The background paper is from the set the little sloth was from (Making Cards and Papercrafting).   He is going in the linky at LeighSBDesigns!
All the details and linky party are HERE!  We have two more days to play!

July 22 Christmas in July Blog Hop with Leigh!

I found this cute little Christmas stamp set on Etsy at YupiYeiGraphics.   I copied a few of the images on some cardstock, colored them up and fussy cut.  The papers are from a set gifted me by Gwyneth years ago and I think about her kindness each time I see these lovely papers!

The backdrop is from Pixabay (I want to say Pexels) and I just dropped my card on top of the lovely Christmas craft table!  The heart is cut from another piece of the papers and I tried a lot of faux stitching but Susan definitely is the pro!  I don't know how she makes me think every hop that I can pull off the stitching!😋  Also not sure how I am editing every yellow colored paper I own in this retina burning glow!  Grab those sunglasses and read on!😎  Actually, just need to tell you that this one is going to the Christmas in July Blog Hop presented by LeighSBDesigns!
And thanks once again to Susan R. for this cute challenge I keep forgetting to enter!

I answered yes to the two questions about Christmas preparations and a Christmas stash AND have a ribbon on the digital image holding the ornament AND for the Double Dare I am entering this at Heart2Heart's Christmas in July.   Here is there info for this challenge!
It is all about Christmas in July!   For this challenge they are paring up with Double Trouble and suspending the requirement to use Close To My Heart products for this challenge ONLY.

Vintage Kittens Play

Mixed media art is one of my favorite things but I have been soooo lazy lately (well, a few years maybe?)!  I sit down and my mind goes to some neat techniques to use then the ultimate question pops up....Do I want to chase down all the supplies involved?  The answer is always NO 😞  I haven't given up on the whole process and to prove it I have this little project!

I kinda faked mixed media by stamping in a couple of different inks, using some stickle type things, using some glue mixed with pink Gelato through a stencil and gluing some beads and sequins.  The image is free from Free Pretty Things For You!  This image is included with 7 others and each one is so vintage and wonderful!  I am going to enter this at Ike's Show Us Your Pussycat Cat Lover's Challenge for July!

July 21 Christmas in July Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns!

Tonight I am using a super cute little sloth freebie from Making Cards & Papercraft, November, 2020.  Let me say I absolutely LOVE sloths and this love has become visible only in the last couple of years???  Where was my love for sloths in my younger years??  Don't know but I love 'em now!  The freebie came with two snow papers that I would have used if that ole printer issue with ink had been fixed but it wasn't so I just used two papers from a really old Christmas pad.

I added some Glossy Accents to the lights and his little cheeks and some snow aka. glitter. This is going straight to the Christmas in July Blog Hop hosted by LeighSBDesigns!

ExPosed for the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers

This one is for the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers #189 X is for X-posed!  I always have a fun time playing here so I don't know how it slips my mind for months on end!  I took the whole exposing a medium as a fake for my take on this one!   The senti is coming from my own weight experience during the last couple of years! 😛  So here is to anyone who doesn't like my weight right now!

I enlarged the sentiment because I tried two different pairs of glasses and the top one was staying fuzzy!
The image is from Gecko Galz Fortune Has It digital collage sheet.  The rest was just some papers, glue and some bling with a touch of Distress Oxide Spray for some orbs on the sentiment!
And here just cause it makes me laugh is Edna on the badge for this challenge!

July 20th Christmas in July Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns

I really, really wanted to make a physical project for today with this tots adorbs pink Santa in his car by Free Pretty Things For You digital designs!  Alas and alack, my main printer was out of ink....black and color!!!! and a printer I just hooked up from my parent's stash just printed the image out rather so so 😟  Then a quick trip to town with Noel was accented by a flat tire in which attempting to change it my jack crumpled over like a sad sack of potatoes after putting the spare weird little tire on and it going promptly flat!  Noah came to my aide right away (about a 15 minute trip from home) so no worries but during the time we were trying to do it ourselves  and Noah arriving 4 FOUR people pulled into the parking lot and asked did we need any help!!!  A young guy, a couple, a middle aged guy and an elderly man all went out of their way to see if we needed help.  Now that was such an example of the kindest that still does exist in the world and  I was truly grateful and thankful that is does. Not to be defeated by the flat and in celebration of my uplifting by these kind souls, I am just linking up the digital image of my finished make.

The image comes in a file with a cute project with another Santa and Santa and his reindeer friend!  The really cute Christmas tree paper is also a freebie from this company!  I found some awesome vintage images on this site.  This one spoketh a million words to me because pink and Santa just screams vintage to me....probably not a universal reaction but my humble opinion!  That being said I am entering this into:
The Outlawz Colour Challenge July 13-26 Color Wheel  I chose pink as my warm color and aqua and purple as my cool colors using products from Free Pretty Things For You.

Cricut Pumpkin Cat Treat Box

I am still working on the art of using a Cricut machine!  Today I played with a cute little Pumpkin Cat Treat Box by Dreaming Tree and it is a FREEBIE!  I still haven't upgraded to a higher weight cardstock so I am still getting sorta wonky finishes 😸  But that didn't take away the fun of making this!

The backdrop for the kitty treat box is another one by Pexels at Pixabay.  The sentiment is from a Kit and Clowder Coloring Class.  I inked the edges with Distress Ink.  Now it is ready to pop some of Ichigo's favorite treats in and surprise him!

July 12th Christmas in July Blog Hop with Leigh!

Today I have a little guy I worked on intending to use him for the May blog hop.  Time being what it was he just got put on the back shelf and left all alone.  So here is my Poe Panda (a very beginner digital stamp that I made all by myself!)😊  He is all decked out for Christmas borrowing some accessories from Leigh's  A Very Yeti Christmas Festive Add On Pack!

Poe Panda is ready for the holidays with feather in hand for signing gift tags or penning the odd verse or two while waiting for the big day!   Still  using the stuff I grabbed the other day, I colored the images with markers, adding some sparkles and a big star with some rediscovered Christmas paper.  I am adding my Poe Panda below if anyone wants to grab him!
So off I go to link him up at Leigh's Christmas in July Blog Hop!  This is a play as much or as little as you like blog hop hosted by LeighSBDesigns and will end July 25th.  All the details and the linky party are HERE!

Gecko Galz Monthly Christmas Challenge

Gecko Galz Monthly Christmas Challenge is so much fun to play with!  They give you a gorgeous vintage image to play along with and I love them!   This month's image reminded me so much of a photo I have of my Mama when she was around 5 years old and part of the writing at the top of the image included the word "Noel", the name of my lovely daughter!
So I had to create something now didn't I?

I used Procreate to add the vintage image onto a background by Pexels on Pixabay.  I used different brushes to create some lights and a star on the tree and to flare out the ribbon a bit.  Some washi tape effects and confetti sprinkled lights added to the beautiful bokeh effect the background had originally.  The final touch was adding Noel on a strip of washi tape.  This was really relaxing and calming working on this...kind of quiet reflection time.
I am also entering this in the Christmas in July Blog Hop presented by LeighSBDesigns! Stay cool inside with the A/C on dreaming of snowflakes this month and get a jump on your Christmas makes!

July 7th Christmas in July Blog Hop!

Still using the box of stuff I grabbed to craft with from yesterday I made some fun Craftmas ornaments or gift tags.  I love  Sandy Oddleigh and all the pretty images that can be used with her!  I used the Craftmas Collage image and made my circles in Photoshop.

I used the Christmas ATCoin Swap Label for LeighSBDesigns for the backs.  I still haven't gotten a 2 1/2 inch circle punch or die (it slips my mind until I am miles away from a store and NEED it!) so I cut these with my only circle die which is 3 inches I think.  Of course to make the white space around the ornaments not a mistake I am saying I wanted to use the spot light technique on these.  To be honest I really did end up liking the way they turned out!
So off these go to the Christmas in July Blog Hop! Stay cool inside with the A/C on dreaming of snowflakes this month and get a jump on your Christmas makes!

Christmas in July Blog Hop with LeighSBDesigns!

Merry Christmas in July!😊

Stay cool inside with the A/C on dreaming of snowflakes this month and get a jump on your Christmas makes  July 5 - 25th with LeighSBDesigns Christmas in July Blog Hop!  Details and linky party are HERE!

To jumpstart my missing summer heat fatigued mojo I grabbed an assortment of stuff and sat down to have a go at it!  I pulled a bunch of gelli prints and ran through the embossing folders.  Then a Christmas paper pad and an unopened Downton Abbey die cut came together with a circle and star from Tim Holtz.  I glued my Merry Christmas Cityscape onto more papers from the pad and added some gold shimmery string to the second layer.  Mission accomplished with enough background papers embossed to start work on tomorrow!
Help us celebrate Christmas in July at the Blog Hop!  All the details are HERE!
