I have a quick post to share today so here we go!

I am a fan of the movie Hocus Pocus and those not so adorable Sanderson Sisters! So of course when I saw this FREEBIE at Craft with Sarah a UK SVG designer, blogger and YouTuber; I had to have it and make it!  Just sign up on her blog and get the password for her huge selection of free SVG designs!   This was 6 layers and was a dream cutting out and popping together for a super spooktastic wall hanging!  I just added a wonky ribbon hanger and it was done!   The inspirations are coming in over at the 14th Annual 31 Days of Halloween Haunt Hop so go here to the Main Haunt Hop Post for the Haunted linky party! 👻

Day 1 of the 14th Annual 31 Days of Halloween Presented by LeighSBDesigns!

Loud screaming and shouting and extreme joy as I type this post for the 1st day of the 14th Annual 31 Days of Halloween Haunt Hop presented by LeighSBDesigns! 👻😍  

This is such a fun time for our crafty community and some of us have been doing this happily and spookily for more years than we care to admit!  But the excitement this blog hop brings is truly special and a huge, huge thank you to Leigh and Val for putting in all the hard work that keeps this event going every year!  Now I will say to be totally honest and transparent 😝 I thought the first was tomorrow or Thursday coz I never ever know the date or day of the week unless my kids tell me repeatedly what it is!  That still didn't quell my thirst for Halloween-y things and being last minute and panicking is all part of the fun of it for me!

Every Wicked Maker needs to look the part so bring on some earrings using a free design by Amy Romeu!  She is faBOOlous with faux leather and a Cricut and when you sign up for her blog you get the password to her FREE Library of designs and she has a YouTube channel!  I am totally loving these creeptastic earrings!  Really quick to cut out and put together (if you don't have to run to Walmart for jump rings that you know you have 5,000 of somewhere! September Creative Inspiration Challenges with Kate Hadfield Designs!

I made a column card that folds flat if you need it to with the totally fun filled Let’s Celebrate Bundle!

I printed out the elements I wanted to use and colored with markers and colored pencils adding a bit of white gel pen for highlights.  I used two colors of paper from the Spring Papers Kit that is Free!  I use these lovely watercolor wash looking digital papers in my digital projects and I print them out and use for hands on crafting!  This card has the oh so pretty pink and orange from the kit with one of each printed out as is and a 4 x 6 sheet of the pink the confetti stamp randomly place and colored in Procreate then printed.  That formed the “bones” of my card (and yes it is slightly wonky just like me!).   I fussy cut all of the elements and using some strips of clear plastic from a package that I, of course had squirreled away instead of tossing, I glued them across the card.  From that point it was just like decorating a room for a celebration!  I used foam dots to pop things up and glue to attach others to get lots of dimensions!   This set has many other fantastic stamps in it and if you don’t want to get the markers out the bundle has the pre colored version!  I just had to make another card while I was crafting coz I was having so much fun with this kit!

I made this card following a tutorial by Beccy at Beccy’s Place!  It is an exploding card with lots of room for many people to sign!  I colored up the champagne bottle and two glasses of bubbly with my Prisma colored pencils,  adding “25” on the champagne label for a 25th anniversary card!  For the exploding inside I added the sentie “Congratulations!” and dotted my markers for some festive color!  So the card lays really flat making the exploding part somewhat of a WOW factor indeed!  So two cards from this super fabulous set!

Monday Greetings with Mirtillamente Craft Shop!

I made an easel card with the cutie pie grumpy cat in the awesome image "Autumn Pumpkin" 😊

I colored the image with Prisma colored pencils.  Then I took some fall paper and printed digitally for my back layer.  I made my card base with orange cardstock and layered the other layers on top.  I made my sentiment in Procreate "Have a Spooky Birthday!" and printed it out then popped it on a slanted piece of cardstock so it folds down flat with the card!  I hope you will play along with us at The Outlawz Monday Greetings for a chance to win lovely images from Mirtillamente Craft Shop!

Outlawz Progressive/Freebie Challenge for September!

A big thank you to Sandra for the delightful image we are all receiving for September!  Mandalas are always a bit challenging to me but just in time Jennifer Maker posted a video on YouTube about just about all things mandala and a Cricut!  Since my Cricut and I have a relationship that I can't really rely on in a pinch especially adding a design into Design Space for cutting....I took inspiration and played a bit with it!  Jennifer had three absolutely stunning shadowboxes with a mandala as the focus.   I thought this lovely mandala for this month would make a lovely setting sun without too many layers or design sense and hence my slimline sunset card was born!

I colored the image with alcohol markers and fussy cut out.  I made my slimline card base with yellow cardstock and attached a flap up of green cardstock to make my horizon line and attach my pink mountains (yep, they are mountains!) and my tree layer on top of that (yup, those are trees!)  Okay...you might have to use your imagination and squint kinda to see my trees and snow drift mountains but that's what art is all about! 😋  I made my sentiment tag using a freebie stamp set from a crafting magazine and inked my edges with Distress Inks!  Now come on and show us your crafting goodies using this wonderful image at The Outlawz Progressive/Freebie Challenge for September!

 

August Monday Greetings with Star Stampz!

Time for some Monday Greetings action and a chance to win a prize from Star Stampz!  A big big thank you to Star Stampz for their continued support of our challenge each year!  I had to fun of crafting with the ever so cute image "Fireflies!"  Fireflies are one of my all time favorite things in the world!  They literally light up my world and land with their magical glowing trails!   I stand amazed just watching them flit and play across the night sky!

I colored this lovely up with Copics and colored pencils with a white gel pen for highlights!  I layered up on some pinks to match her dress to make my card!  Our required greeting this month is "Hello/Miss You" so I used a clear stamp for my sentiment!  Now gather up your ideas and come see us this month at The Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge for August!

Creative Inspiration Challenges with Pattie's Creations!

It's August and hot as blazes where I live!  Great time to be inside with the a/c cranked up and crafting!  This month at Creative Inspiration Challenges our sponsor is Pattie's Creations!  A huge thank you to Pattie's Creations for sponsoring us! 💝 Please visit her store on Etsy and have a look at all the gorgeous designs! 

I made two pillow boxes from a kit I had picked up at Walmart!  I could have used the Cricut but I loved the pastel colors that looked like watercolors so went with the kit.   For the box above I used the image "Folding Fan with Orchids" and colored it digitally in Procreate then printed it out and fussy cut.  The sentiments for both of the boxes are stamps from my stash that were freebies in a now closed paper crafting magazine.  The box below has the image "Hummingbird Floral Wreath" and  I used the same process as above.  After fussy cutting I popped them up with foam strips along with the senties.
