Monday Greetings with Kate Hadfield!

A huge thank you to Kate Hadfield Designs for sponsoring our Monday Greetings Challenge at the Outlawz for July!  Kate has so many fun and exciting designs and her blog is full of inspiration and freebies that make creating an awesome experience!

We had a play with the Al Fresco Stamps and this set is definitely full of summer fabulousness!

I grab a free scrapbooking digital layout on Kate’s blog first.  Next I printed out the elements I wanted to use, colored with markers and fussy cut.  I cut out the layout shapes from cardstock.   I used a pretty dragonfly paper for my base page and added all the pieces attaching with glue.  I added the sentiment and had a marvelous page!  I discovered how easy and effective these layouts are for digital scrapbooking which I love to do but they also are fun to work with on a physical projects, too!  I hope everyone will join in our summer fun at the Outlawz Monday Greetings for July!  The required greeting is Summer Fun and the twist is Anything Goes!

The Outlawz Sunday Song & Rhyme

 Our inspiration this time comes from the following poem:

My project was inspired by the line “An opal-hearted country”.   I love opals and wanted use an image from Pixabay by ArtsyBee with a gorgeous opal!  To keep the jewel them I used an image by chenspec from Pixabay as my background layer.  My sentiment is from Mirtillamente from the set About Love #1 and I find this set so useful!  I used glossy photo paper for the opal and jewel layers and sentiment to get the lovely colors I wanted.

Monday Greetings with Mirtillamente Craft Shop!

 Mirtillamente Craft Shop is our sponsor for June and I absolutely love her designs!  It’s always fun to create with her lovely work!

It’s also time for the release of the newest Loveleigh Kitties the Bridal Collection and they are Bridal Kitty and Groom Kitty! These are just so sweet and romantic!   I had the honor of creating with the Bridal Kitty which was perfect for a sparkly slimline card!

Creative Inspiration Challenges with LeighSBDesigns!

I had the uber fun of creating with the Bride Kitty!  These kitties are perfect for slimline cards and I love making cards with them!  I colored the image in Procreate and copied and fussy cut leaving a small border.  I cut two matte layers to top my card front with.  I added some tiny pearls to her bridal tiara and some red heart confetti around her glowing persona!  I made the senti in Procreate and added at the bottom of the card!  We hope to see you this month at Creative Inspiration Challenges where it is always Anything Goes and the fun goes on nonstop!

Creative Inspiration Challenges for May with Sheepski Designs!

I hope everyone's April showers has brought May flowers and your spring is going great!  Here at Creative Inspiration Challenges we want to give a big thank you to the awesome Sheepski Designs for sponsoring us this month!  Thanks so very much!💖   We had some creative time with these two lovely images:  Rocket and Rosie and Wild Rose Heart!

I discovered a long lost 5 x 7 sketch book that has some lovely textured paper in it.  My art journals seem to get lost at an alarming rate so I decided to dive in this one with zeal!  I colored the oh so adorable little bunnies and their background with Procreate and printed out on paper I had torn out of the book.  I cut it down to size and made and printed my sentiment in Procreate also.  The background page I inked with Distress Ink Oxides and edged the page with a gold gel pen with some faux stitching.  I inked the sentiment and image with Distress Inks mowed lawn and worn lipstick.  I glued everything down and my first page in the art journal was done!

I did my coloring of the Wild Rose Heart in Procreate and added some accents with my gold and white gel pens.  The sentie (also created in Procreate and printed out) and image are inked with worn lipstick Distress Ink.  For the background I added some corrugated cardboard pieces randomly and inked with barn door Distress Ink.  Next I added some washi tape to the seams and down the sides of the page before gluing everything down and adding a small red flower at the bottom.

I really had so much fun making these two pages!  Note to self:  Do more art journal pages!  😋  Now comes the next fun part where you create something for our challenge and give us a chance to visit you and leave you some love!   Easey Peasey, right?  So get those projects over to the Creative Inspiration Challenges where it is always Anything Goes!

April 4th Creative Inspiration Challenges with Kate Hadfield Designs!

I am usually only a digital scrapbooker but this month's selection "Signs of Spring Bundle" that we were allowed to play with made me want to color, cut out and glue!  No better therapy in the world for me!  I also used some of Kate's freebies on my page:  Bits and Pieces 3 and Spring Papers both can be found in the Doodle Den!  I had this photo of Noah taking a picture at a state park where we took a great hike with Noel.  She wasn't in this photo with this amazing tree but I added her in the corner holding a flower I added!  I layered all the images from the bundle that I was using on a separate layer than my photo and printed both out.  I colored up all the elements and layered them on the photo which I printed on glossy photo paper.  I feel like we had stepped into a Roger Rabbit world while working on this!  A real Toon Town spring photo of my kids!  I printed the Bits and Pieces elements out on cardstock and then cut out the bits I needed for my scrapbook page!  I had so much fun working on this and plan on doing many more in the future!  I hope you will visit Kate Hadfield Designs and see for yourself all the fun to be had!   We hope to see you at Creative Inspiration Challenges Blog in April!
