Creative Inspiration Challenges with LeighSBDesigns!

No running now....walk and be polite but get over there for some PURRfect Christmas happy times!  I had a very, very enjoyable cold day snuggled up yesterday and today creating with Sugar Plum Fairy Cat!

I colored her dainty sweet self up with colored pencils and markers highlighting with a white gel pen and a shimmer pen!  I know I go crazy with shimmer and had limited myself to her tutu and wings but the candy then needed to be frosted and her pearls needed shimmer and I just went wild!  No excuses just lots of gorgeous fairy frostiness!  I painted a 6 x 9 canvas sheet with acrylic paints for her stage to dance across adding some Dr. Suess-esque taffy snow trees with stars on top!  At the bottom of the trees I added some types of candy that Sugar Plum Fairy Cat adorns herself with but with one small problem:  I cannot draw so we'll just call them Dr. Suess-wannabe candies!  Before attaching her and the sentie (Sugar Plum Fairy Senties) to the canvas I did pink and white acrylic paint flicks for a frosty atmosphere!  She really is the cutest little ballerina kitty in the whole wide world!  I hope you will grab your crafty bits and come join us for Creative Inspiration Challenges for December where the theme is always Anything Goes! 💖

 

December 2nd Monday Greetings with LeighSBDesigns!

Merry Christmas and a Happy Happy New Year!  At Monday Greetings at the Outlawz our required greeting is Anything Christmas/Holidays and the optional twist is use a hint of red (or a whole lot 😊 !)  Our sponsor this month is LeighSBDesigns who is one of our great friends and designer magnificent!  We really love her and want to send a great big ole' Santa hug to her for all of her support!  This month Leigh released her Festive Felines Loveleigh Kitties 2024 Collection and we were honored to have some festive fun with  Xmas Cat Tree - Slimline Digi Stamp!

I colored up this oh so adorable kitty with colored pencils and used one of the Xmas Cat Tree Senties!  I had some pretty poinsettia digital paper printed out and went with it as my background for my kitty BUT NOTE:  the kitty and very harmful to pets, poinsettia are separated by a large sliding glass door!!  So this kitty is purrfectly safe climbing and conquering the gorgeous tree!  I used mirror cardstock for that shine I am addicted to!   We hope to see you at the Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge for December and please check out Leigh's new Christmas collection to thank her for her support!

September 10th Sunday Song and Rhyme Challenge

Our  inspiration poem for this challenge is "From a Railway Carriage" and I have such fond memories of riding trains each time we visited Japan!  My second fondness year round is of Thanksgiving and Christmas so my digital card is the combination of those things!

I have had my yearly breaking of copiers, scanners and backup devices so I'm operating on a limited tools period here but Procreate prevailed.  I used Pixabay for both of my images.  The Christmas tree background is by Ylanite Koppens and the adorable little Christmas elf and festive train came from Goggle AI free version using prompts Christmas, train, scene and fairy.  The sentie is from

Creative Inspiration Challenges with Sheepski Designs!

 It's November and we are so happy to share our projects using our fantastic sponsor SheepSki Designs for this month!   A big thank you to SheepSki Designs and please go have a look on their awesome designs!  I am using the images Mini Tree and  Stack and what delightful designs they are!

I colored both images with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers backing the top layer with red glitter cardstock on green!  Merry Christmas colors!  The sentiments are by LeighSBDesigns' A Charming Christmas Compendium of Festive Sayings!

Day 30 The 31 Days of Halloween Haunt Hop!

 Happy One Day Away from Halloween!  I hope you’ve been BOO-ed this frightful past 30 days as the 31 Days of Halloween Haunt Hop Presented by LeighSBDesigns!  Today some of my favorite guys are dropping by….the Bizarre Beasties!

These guys are hanging out in the haunted Furness Forest under the watchful eyes of a Halloween moon!  I made a 4 x 6 inch card out of brown cardstock and layered the Wicked Moon Furness Forestscape (colored in Procreate so I could make the bats eyes have some spooky red glowing eyes!) over paper from the Spooky Forest Decorative Digi Paper pack. I couldn’t find the Forestscape image to link but as always Leigh or Val can point you in the right direction!  If you dare to flip open this card you will be confronted by the Bizarre Beasties (colored with markers) and the sentie is from the Wicked Compendium of Halloween Sayings!  All images used are by our hostess with the mostest this month LeighSBDesigns!  You can still come play with us at the 31 Days of Halloween Haunt Hop where all the faBOOlous entries for this month are roosting and the haunted linky party is there, too! 👻

Today I have a pop out page for my book using Catrina Slimline Digi Stamp and senties from the Day of the Dead - Dia De Los Muertos Senties Set by LeighSBDesigns! 

 This type fold card called for a belly band to hold it together but since I was adding it as a page in a book I had to scramble for an idea!  I feel sure I will revise my closure coz this one is wonky weird....my apparent theme for this year!  👻  The patterned papers are from a digital paper pack by Digital Mirabillis - Etsy and I colored Catrina with colored pencils!

First Haunt Hop 2024 excuse headed your way.....Due to a family emergency I had to make tonight's make 1/2 digitally!  I had Carved Skelly Cat the SVG (Help, Leigh or Val, I couldn't find it in the store) all cut out ready to layer on my papers to make one of the pages that I want to have opposite the pages I have made for my book!  That statement will make a little bit more sense when I have a picture to explain it!   But sliding into home I just snapped a pic on a sheet of black paper and used the Halloween magic of Procreate!  TA-DAAAA!  The digital paper I used for the back layer is from Digital Mirabillis-Etsy and I plan on using several more designs from this pack!  The senties are from CAToWeen Senties Set and Halloween Senties Set!

Last year I started my This is Halloween Book using the This is Halloween Make a Book SVG Cutz Design by LeighSBDesigns 

Today I have another page to add using Fall Kitty Slimline Digi Stamp from the CAToWeen Loveleigh Kitties 2024 Halloween Collection and I used the CAToWeen Senties Set also!

Forgive the truly awful photo but my light box decided NOT to light up 👿  I colored her up with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers adding green glitter paint for her pretty eyes!   I fussy cut her out leaving a small border (I printed on a pale sort of ivory cardstock) and printed the sentiment from the Fall CAT Senties Set on the same paper as the back layer of my book page.  The book page of course came from the This is Halloween Make a Book SVG Cutz design by Leigh!  I popped the LOVEleigh kitty on foam squares.  Then I layered the sentie on some of the same papers also gluing to the background.  I added some gold and silver sequins on a dab of Distress Stickles crushed olive? to adhere them down.   The inspirations are coming in over at the 14th Annual 31 Days of Halloween Haunt Hop so go here to the Main Haunt Hop Post for the Haunted linky party! 👻

This was a wreath kit that I grabbed on sale after Halloween last year!  I like stuff marked down, that decorates for Halloween and can be made up fast when things get away from me this month!  It was literally an add hot glue project but I did make it so......not my greatest moment this year but
